An American Jihad?

I think that this is the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis that I have actually felt a bit apprehensive about the future.

I watched the New Hampshire presidential candidates' debate last night. Actually, I only watched the Republican debate, but that was enough to put the wind up my kilt.

All of the Republicans, with the exception of Dr.Ron Paul were overtly calling for a first strike attack foreign policy against Islamic States. Dr. Paul, to his credit, showed a little bit of common sense. He would have shown a lot more, but the other 5 candidates shouted him down whenever he tried to speak.

What can these madmen be thinking of? Do they not realize that they couldn't possibly win a war against one-third of the world's population? They want to make the United states the ruler and policeman of the entire world. Don't they realize that if they started , what they seem to think of as a New Holy War, they would soon find almost the entire world opposing them? Do they seriously think that China, India and Russia would idly stand by and let them take over all of the Islamic states? Do they really want to set the world on fire by unleashing the dogs of war on every continent?
