Another homofascist victory

Adelaide's City of Marion local area council voted 6-5 to permanently fly the homosexual movement’s rainbow flag.

Another example of "Just when you thought that it can't get any worse, it does".

O.K., I'll freely admit that I believe that homosexualism is a mental disorder, just as schizophrenia, cleptomania or claustrophobia are. They can all be treated, and in many cases cured. As a teen aged victim of three seperate homosexual assaults over a period of two years, which had devestating negative effects on my life,  I have strong feelings about this subject. But that is a whole other subject.

The frightening aspect of this headline is that a city council is venturing into the field of social engineering. Orwell and others warned us that this would happen.

In the first place, this is probably a violation of its City Charter, or constitution. In the second place, it was a 6 - 5 vote, which any reasonable person would admit is no moral mandate. The third point is a question. Would the same six homosexual friendly members of City Council agree to permanently fly a pro life flag, or the banner of any Christian, Jewish or Muslim group, or the banner of a group which offers to help homosexuals overcome their problem? I think that we all know the answer to that question.

The only flags that should be flown by governmental  decree are the national, state or municipal flags, or as a courtesy the flag of the country of an official visitor. No sectarian flags of any kind should be flown by the goverment. It is not the place of the city council to promote a religion, or the flat earth movement, or the daily consumption of potatoes, much less that of an unfortunate metally disordered segment of society which should be given loving help. Yes, in spite of the fact that I suffered greatly at the hands of several homosexual males, I believe that we should respect their humanity and help them with loving guidance. But that does not mean that we should pretend that homosexual activity is normal or desirable.
