Another Malaysian airliner mystery

"Russia urges an impartial and open investigation into the Malaysian Boeing 777 crash in Ukraine and an international commission to be set up. Addressing the UN, Russia’s envoy Churkin said a probe into Ukraine's aviation authorities is also necessary."

O.K., I don't know who shot down the Malasian airliner. I am not about to make any guesses and I will try my best to be  without bias in the post. But I do have some questions.

First, who stands to benefit from the absolutely savage destruction of a civilian aircraft and the wanton taking of nearly 300 lives? I don't know. So, let's come at the question from the other side. Who cannot possibly be suspected of benefitting from such a savage act? Go down the list of nation states. I'm not going to list them here but I can't believe that the government of any nation could do such a thing. The question remains; could some benefit from the atrocity? The government of the Ukraine, most certainly if they could pin the blame on the Ukrainian separatists or Russia. The Ukrainian separatists? Probably not and according to Jane's they don't have the capability. Russia? No way. Further, such an action is the work of a mental midget and Putin is certainly not that. The U.S.A.? Yes, if they could spin the blame onto Russia and create an excuse to start WW III in retaliation. Israel? Yes, if only to the extent that it would be a smokescreen for their invasion of Gaza.

Actually, if you take the U.S., Russia, the U.K., the Ukraine and Israel out of the picture it would seem that there can be no suspects left. But it remains a mystery for the time being. Not surprisingly, the above mentioned countries are busy pointing fingers at each other. Certainly, based on their past record, any of them is more than capable of such an atrocity.

I hope and pray that whoever is responsible for such an outrage will be found out and their nation reduced to rubble.
