POPCORN and BEER

I'll have my popcorn salted with lots of melted butter on it!!

Guess which prominent Liberal will be looking for a new job very shortly after the election is over. Hint: his first name is Scott.

The U.S. has taken an overt interest in the Canadian election. It looks like a crude attempt to help defeat the Liberals. I hope that it doesn't backfire and put the Libs back in office. A lot of people don't like foreigners interfering in our elections. Not even when they are pretty good friends. Some of us can still remember the crude attempt to get Diefenbaker defeated.

Martin has decided to wrap himself in the Canadian flag. That's the same flag that he wouldn't fly on his ships before he became PM, and it's the same flag that his ships still won't fly. Oh sure, I know that he "divested" himself of the ownership of his shipping company. I also know or at least expect that he'll un-divest himself after he leaves office. Lets hope that's soon.

Three cheers and a tiger for Harper making it plain that he won't send Canadian Forces into Iraq. Now if he'd say something about getting them out of Afghanistan we'd be getting somewhere.

That's all for now. My popcorn is getting soggy and the beer is getting warm.
