An Offer He Couldn't Refuse?

Three days ago I wrote a brief post to congratulate the Greek people for their resounding victory at the polls, when they ignored the blackmailing and threats from the various Central Banks around the world. O.K., some of the threats and attempted blackmail came through some governments. But a threat from an EU or American government is just the government doing what the Banksters order them to do.

Today, it is starting to look like the brief moment of anticipated freedom for Greece is ending. I don't have the details yet but Tsipras appears to be caving in to the EU et al. In the videos of him at the EU parliament this morning he looked like a man on death row. But wait. Maybe he is. Maybe the Banksters made him an offer that he couldn't refuse. Why else would he appear to cave in to the EU and turn his back on the 61% of the Greek people? Perhaps time will tell.

The above is mere idle speculation on my part.

If the Leash Fits Wear It

It's almost safe to watch tv again, now that another July 4th is fading into the background. In case you don't know what July 4th is all about, it's the day that my American friends call Independance Day. Most people seem to think that it celebrates the day that the Thirteen Colonies became independant from English rule. Actually, the only thing that happened on July 4th, 1776, was that a small group of (mostly) rich people signed a pretentious piece of paper that they named The Declaration of Independance. None of these men were democratically elected by the people of the Colonies, and really had no legal or moral right to claim that they spoke for all the people. Nor did they have the moral right to commit illegal actions which led to the Revolutionary War.

Historians tell us that the majority of the colonists never supported the revolution. People who spoke out against the revolution often found that their homes and businesses were vandalized and they themselves were beaten up and some were even killed. Thousands of those who opposed the revolution, the United Empire Loyalists, were forced to leave their homes behind. Most of them fled to Canada, where they became valued assets to the five Canadian Colonies.

The Revolutionary War lasted for more than 5 years and caused untold misery, deaths and property losses. I wonder why my American friends don't celebrate the 19th of October, the day that Cornwallis and the British officially surrendered.

Sadly, when I look at the history of the United States during the 234 years since then, I see that the colonists just took a long jump out of the frying pan into the fire. They just traded one tyrant, the British king, for a government which has ultimately become far more tyrannical than King George could have even imagined becoming.

Greece is the only democratic nation in Europe.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GREEK PEOPLE WHO VOTED TO RESTORE DEMOCRACY TO GREECE, AFTER LIVING FOR AT LEAST A HALF DECADE UNDER THE HEEL OF THE EU AND THE EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK.

The landslide victory for the NO side may have started a little trickle of democracy flowing in the western World. Isincerly hope and pray that the little trickle will become a raging torrent as people smash the stranglehold that the mega banks have on the economy.

Dept. of marginal thinking: I hope that Tsipras is wearing a good bullet proof vest, because the European and North American banksters, together with the CIA, the MI6 and other quasi government agencies probably already have a contract out on him.

Say what? A child of six could see through this looking glass.

In the same interview, a NATO official announces 1) that 40,000 NATO troops will be deployed along the Russian borders with several lick spittle lap dogs of the United States, and 2) accuses Russia of aggression and sabre rattling.

What nation is it that has troops in about 150 foreign countries? What nation has invaded or bombed about 20 sovereign nations during the last 50 years? What nation is the only nation to have used nuclear bombs? What nation has been at war with somebody for all but about 15 of the past 200 years? What nation is the war monger and sabre rattler today?

I'll give you a hint. It's not Cuba, North Korea or Switzerland.
